The AOCDET-HDMI range of cables are Active Optical Cables (AOC) that have a detachable hood to reduce down to micro HDMI for feeding through ducting, walls or small spaces, they come with a protective case to protect the pins while feeding through, you then need to attach the metal HDMI hood again for use with HDMI equipment.
Should additional power be needed at the display end, these come with a USB power cable.
