3m TOSLINK Optical Cable is used for a fibre optic connection, most commonly used with audio equipment (via a digital optical socket,) where it carries a digital audio stream from devices such as CD, DVD, Blu-Ray players and soundbars or sound systems. A toslink socket is approx 6mm square with 2 chamfereed corners and a round centre hole.
