The 1394 adaptor 6 pin (6 circuit Firewire 400) female to 4 pin ( 4 circuit Firewire 400) male (Alternative) would be typically used to convert 6 pin to 4 pin for devices such as camcorders.
Please note : While these adaptors have been given USB part codes, these are firewire only.
